www.ogp.gov.ie is the web address of the Office of Government Procurement (OGP).

The OGP’s parent department is the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, www.per.gov.ie

This policy shows the social media that we (OGP) are currently making use of, what you can expect on each of them, and how we interact with members of the public on these platforms.

Our use of social media platforms is not intended as a means of contacting the Minister or Minister of State directly or of submitting press queries. Staffing and origin of tweets

The @procurement_ie account is managed by staff of the OGP but may also be posted to by staff of the Press Office of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform in exceptional circumstances.

We do not use any automation to post content on Twitter.

If you follow @procurement_ie you can expect our tweets to include:

– News stories and press releases

– Speeches and statements from our Ministers, the Government Chief Procurement Officer and others.

– Photos and videos from our events and our Ministers’ engagements

– Live tweeting of our events

– Other content as deemed appropriate

Following and Retweets

If we follow another Twitter account, it does not imply an endorsement of any kind. Likewise, content retweeted by@procurement_ie  does not imply any endorsement of the message tweeted or the individual or organisation who tweeted it. If you follow our account, we will not automatically follow you back.

We welcome feedback from our followers and will try to join conversations where possible. However, we may not reply individually to all messages we receive via Twitter. The best means of communicating queries to the Office of Government Procurement are via the contact details linked to above.

Comments on LinkedIn page and moderation policy

Comments posted on and messages received through our LinkedIn page are the views of individuals and do not represent the views of the OGP. While we welcome comments and participation on this page, we do not accept responsibility for the content of any comment and reserve the right to remove comments that:

– contain abusive, obscene, indecent or offensive language, or link to obscene or offensive material

– are completely non-relevant to the item posted on the wall

– contain abusive language towards an individual

– constitute spam or promote or advertise products

– are designed to cause nuisance to the page administrator or other users

For serious and/or persistent breaches of the moderation policy, we reserve the right to prevent users from posting further comments.

Comments are generally disabled on our videos as the account is not regularly monitored.
